Overview
Product name Recombinant Human LIMP II/SCARB2/CD36L2 Protein Catalog No. RP00135 Description Recombinant Human LIMP II/SCARB2/CD36L2 Protein is produced by HEK293 expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Arg27-Thr432) of human SCARB2 (Accession #NP_005497.1) fused with a 6×His tag at the C-terminus. Bio-Activity Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA.Immobilized Human SCARB2 at 0.5μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind SCARB2 Rabbit mAb with a linear range of 0.2-1.2 ng/mL. Purity > 95% by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin < 0.1 EU/μg of the protein by LAL method. Formulation Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.Contact us for customized product form or formulation. Species Human Background
The protein encoded by this gene is a type III glycoprotein that is located primarily in limiting membranes of lysosomes and endosomes. Earlier studies in mice and rat suggested that this protein may participate in membrane transportation and the reorganization of endosomal/lysosomal compartment. The protein deficiency in mice was reported to impair cell membrane transport processes and cause pelvic junction obstruction, deafness, and peripheral neuropathy. Further studies in human showed that this protein is a ubiquitously expressed protein and that it is involved in the pathogenesis of HFMD (hand, foot, and mouth disease) caused by enterovirus-71 and possibly by coxsackievirus A16. Mutations in this gene caused an autosomal recessive progressive myoclonic epilepsy-4 (EPM4), also known as action myoclonus-renal failure syndrome (AMRF). Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.Product information
