Overview
Product name Active Recombinant Human CD38 Protein Catalog No. RP00151 Description Active Recombinant Human CD38 Protein is produced by HEK293 cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Val43-Ile300) of human CD38 (Accession #NP_001766.2) fused with a 6×His tag at the C-terminus. Bio-Activity Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized recombinant human CD38 at 0.5 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind CD38 antibody with a linear range of 2-10 ng/mL. Purity > 95% by SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin < 0.1 EU/μg of the protein by LAL method. Formulation Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.Contact us for customized product form or formulation. Species Human Background
The protein is a non-lineage-restricted, type II transmembrane glycoprotein that synthesizes and hydrolyzes cyclic adenosine 5'-diphosphate-ribose, an intracellular calcium ion mobilizing messenger. The release of soluble protein and the ability of membrane-bound protein to become internalized indicate both extracellular and intracellular functions for the protein. This protein has an N-terminal cytoplasmic tail, a single membrane-spanning domain, and a C-terminal extracellular region with four N-glycosylation sites. Crystal structure analysis demonstrates that the functional molecule is a dimer, with the central portion containing the catalytic site. It is used as a prognostic marker for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia.Product information
