The full name of HEPES is N-2-hydroxyethylpiperazine-N-2-ethane sulfonic acid, and the Chinese name is 4-hydroxyethylpiperazine ethanesulfonic acid. It is a commonly used zwitterionic buffer reagent with an effective buffer range of pH 6.8-8.2. HEPES can maintain the pH range of the solution for a long time in an open environment, has no permeability to cell membranes, has little effect on various biochemical reactions, has stable chemical and enzymatic properties, and has extremely low absorption of visible light and ultraviolet light. , HEPES is the best choice for many cell culture buffer systems.

This product has a concentration of 1 M, is prepared with ultrapure water, pH 7.0-7.5, filtered and sterilized by 0.22μm, and can be directly used for cell culture. The recommended working concentration in the cell culture medium is 10-25 mM, and it should be added in proportion as needed. For example, if the required working concentration is 10 mM, add 1 mL of this product to every 100 mL of medium.
