Recombinant RNase A is a recombinant ribonuclease that specifically attacks the 3 'end of cytosine (c) or uracil (U) residues on single stranded RNA and cuts the phosphodiester bond formed with adjacent nucleotides. Recombinant RNase A has the highest activity in cleaving single stranded RNA and is active under a variety of reaction conditions: it can be used to cleave single stranded RNA, double stranded RNA and RNA strands in RNA-DNA hybridization at low salt concentration (0-100 mM NaCl), while it can only specifically cleave single stranded RNA at high salt concentration (≥ 300 mM NaCl).
